ANDERSON, Ind. - The Hanover men's track and field team traveled north Saturday afternoon to compete as part of the Fred Wilt last chance meet hosted by Anderson University.
The Blue and Red saw six individuals garner top five finishes including assistant coach and alumni, Jacob Hedrick.
Sophomore Cooper Hanson (Greenfield, Ind.) paced the Panthers winning the 800-meter run in a time of 1:58.79. Hedrick also claimed a first place mark in the 5,000-meter run crossing the finish line in a time of 15:41.17.
Freshman Aaron Rodgers (Noblesville, Ind.) continued his strong first-year campaign capturing a second place finish in the 400-meter run with a time of 53.30. He also took second in the triple jump with a new personal best leap of 11.95-meters.
Senior Ethan Monnin (Minster, Ohio) and sophomore Jalen Simmons (Indianapolis, Ind.) displayed success in the pole vault as they both claimed top five finishes. Simmons took third in the event with a new personal best height of 4.25-meters while Monnin finished fourth clearing a height of 3.80-meters.
Rounding out the afternoon for Hanover was sophomore Justin Johnson (Camby, Ind.) in the long jump taking fifth with his first collegiate jump of 5.51-meters.
