Women's Golf Sits in Fifth Place After Day One of the HCAC Championship

BLUFFTON, Ohio – The Hanover women's golf team sits in fifth place after the first round of the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Championship.

The Panthers recorded a team score of 357 in the field of nine teams and sits just six strokes out of the top three.

Leading Hanover Saturday afternoon in very tough course conditions was senior Allison Goodwin (Lebanon, Ind.). Goodwin is currently tied for 11th overall after an opening round 86 (+14).

Also, among the top 20 in the individual standings is sophomore Hannah Julow (Evansville, Ind.) tied for 14th with a one-day score of 88 (+16).

Teammates sophomore Kennedy Easton (Borden, Ind.) finished the round in 21st place, while junior Dayna Dale (Andrews, Ind.) sits in 23rd and senior Abbey Woodard (Crawfordsville, Ind.) in 28th place in the 45-golfer field.

The Panthers will conclude tournament play on Sunday, October 13 at the Bluffton Golf Club.
