HANOVER, Ind. - The Blue and Red dropped a tough Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference battle with Anderson Saturday afternoon at Southwestern Jr./Sr. High School. The Panthers fell to the Ravens 112-75.
The Blue and Red were led in the meet by freshman Ilys Anderson (Hebron, Ky.) winning the 100-free with a non-taper personal best time of 57.46. She also set a new PR in the 50-free finishing the event in a time of 26.28, taking second overall.
Sophomore Sydney Schulok (Cincinnati, Ohio) claimed a first place mark in the 100-backstroke with a time of 1:07.84.
In the 200-free, freshman Kelli Brock (Mooresville, Ind.) paced the field taking second overall in a time of 2:13.14.
Brock also teamed up with senior Megan Brandt (Guyton, Ga.), Schulok, and Anderson to take first place in the 200-free relay crossing the finish line with an event time of 1:46.33.
The Blue and Red return to the pool on Saturday, January 18 when they head north to Manchester. The first event is scheduled for 1 PM.
