Volleyball Set to Take on Centre and WIlmington

HANOVER, Ind. – The Hanover College volleyball team travels to Danville, Ky. to face-off with Centre College on Wednesday, September 25 before traveling to Wilmington on Friday, September 27.

PANTHER OVERVIEW: The Panthers enter the week at 8-5 overall after falling to St. Mary's (Ind.) 3-1 (25-18, 22-25, 23-25, 26-28). Hanover was led in the contest by junior Emily Diehr (Greenfield, Ind.) and freshman Adrianne Vance (Indianapolis, Ind.) with double-digit kills. Diehr finished with a game-high 13 kills, while Vance posted 12 kills. Defensively, senior Ally Williams (Fountaintown, Ind.) registered 28 digs with five service aces.

INSIDE THE STATS: Sophomore Emma Rolf (Lebanon, Ind.) leads the attacking efforts for the Blue and Red this season with a team-high 126 kills, averaging 2.47 kills per set. Vance is a close second with 100 kills and 2.63 kills per set. Sophomore Kelsey Ketcham (Mishawaka, Ind.) leads the team in assists with 295, dishing out 6.41 assists per set. As a team, the Panthers are averaging 11.0 kills per set, 9.82 assists per set, and 1.68 blocks per set, with 64 total stops.

CENTRE: The Colonels enter the contest at 4-6 overall after falling in straight sets to Hendrix (19-25, 17-25, 24-26). Centre is led this season by Alice Rodgerson with a team-high 87 kills, averaging 2.90 kills per set. Savanna Roper enters the match with 77 kills, averaging 2.85 per set. As a team, the Colonels have tallied 353 kills with 322 assists. The team is averaging 11.0 kills per set, while dishing out 10.1 assists.

WILMINGTON: The Quakers enter the week 2-11 overall after defeating OU-Chillicothe in straight sets (25-22, 25-9, 25-13). Wilmington was led in the contest by Taylor MCuistion with 14 kills, hitting .303 in the contest. Karley Schlensker led the defensive efforts for the Quakers tallying a team-high 26 digs. As a team, the Quakers are led by Jillian Wesco with a team-best 92 kills, averaging 2.19 per set. Schlensker dominates the defensive efforts for Wilmington with 242 digs, averaging 5.76 digs per set.

UP NEXT: The Panthers return to action on Tuesday, October 1 when they welcome St. Mary-Woods to Collier Arena. First serve is set for 7:00 PM.
