Women's Cross Country Breaks Records as Part of the Inter_Regional Rumble

OBERLIN, Ohio – The Hanover College women's cross country team registered a strong performance at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin College on Saturday afternoon. The Panthers finished 21st overall in the 32-team field.

Pacing the way for the Blue and Red was sophomore Arig Tong (Columbus, Ind.) with a ninth-place finish in a time of 22:01.3. The time improves on her current second place ranking among HC greats.

Sophomore Brianna Medcalf (Central, Ind.) claimed a 68th place finish for the Panthers with a time of 23:09.9, while senior Caitlyn Naghdi (Carmel, Ind.) moved into the Hanover top 20 with a time of 24:06.2 finishing 140th overall.

The Blue and Red also saw sophomore Sawyer Osmun (Fishers, Ind.) finish 205th with a time of 25:04.9 with sophomore Maddie McHugh (Coatesville, Ind.) took 250th place in a time of 26:33.1.

Also competing for the Panthers were senior Madison VanWinkle (Moores Hill, Ind.) running the course in a time of 27:40.6, while teammates freshman Ashley Senerius (Westfield, Ind.) finished in a time of 27:57.2 and freshman Alexis Gurr (Charlestown, Ind.) finished with a time of 28:30.6.

The Panthers return to action on Sunday, November 3 as they compete as part of the HCAC Championships.
